We have worked together in the past managing privately and publicly held businesses ranging in size from $10M to over $500M in aerospace, medical equipment, energy, automotive, consumer and general industrial markets. Present or past employers include Danaher, Ingersoll Rand, Raytheon, TRW, UTC and General Electric.
Don Bodell (Co-Founder and CEO) has extensive business leadership experience which includes general management, marketing, acquisition and business integration roles. He currently provides management consulting services for private equity firms, portfolio companies, family owned businesses and public companies. Prior to launching h
is consulting business, he was President of Ingersoll-Rand’s Engineered Solutions Division; a CT based global manufacturing and distribution business with revenues in excess of $550 million. Previously, he held leadership positions at TRW, Asea Brown Boveri and Combustion Engineering. He began his career at General Electric and Xerox.
Don is a Director of the Mott Corporation and the Rostra Tool Company, an advisor to UConn’s Technology Incubation Program and a member of the Executive Forum. He is a former Director of the Milwaukee Gear Company which was recently sold by High Road Capital. He served on the Boards of TWB (Wuxi, China), the Connecticut Business and Industry Association, the Executive Forum, the American Bearing Manufacturers Association and the University of Connecticut Business School Advisory Board.
Don earned an undergraduate degree from Fairfield University and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
Evan Berns (Co-Founder and COO) most recently ran a $200M global platform for IDEX. Prior to the joining IDEX he ran a private equity-held $100M automotive components manufacturer in Watertown, CT and a local $85M industrial sensor division of Danaher, a global
technology leader dedicated to lean manufacturing excellence. Prior to Danaher, he was with GE, Black and Decker and Ingersoll Rand in technology and product development roles. A University of Connecticut graduate with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Engineering, Mr. Berns also has a Masters in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has been an adjunct professor at the University of Hartford and is very much committed to manufacturing competitiveness.
